I am Jenny Richardson. Artist, and workshop leader.
I am an artist interested in people.
My practice has involved working with projects on themes of the exclusion, empathy, menopause, equality, and inclusion, and currently barriers people put in place and mental health.
I care that people have the best life possible, and I am interested in why people behave in certain ways to each other and why. I am interested in how unfairly people may behave and speaking for the oppressed.
In my work I represent the feelings of the oppressed, for example the women and transgender people campaigning for access to hormone replacement therapy. Or the outcast family member, treated badly at the hands of others.
I previously illustrated for the Breastfeeding Network’s training resources and leaflets and have had drawings published books such as Breastfeeding and Medication by Wendy Jones, and Breastfeeding as Public Health by Alison Spiro. I am passionate about people, and though I don’t work in the field now I am still an advocate for human milk feeding and human rights.
